BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University athletics' office of promotions and fan engagement has announced a series of promotions aimed at Appalachian State students for the 2015 football season.

Student promotions include:

Class of 2019 Day — Sept. 5 vs. Howard
500 FREE T-SHIRTS & THE CHANCE TO MAKE A TUNNEL FOR THE TEAM
The first 500 Class of 2019 students to check in at the marketing table (located right inside Kidd Brewer Stadium's Echota West Gate) at home opener vs. Howard on Saturday, September 5 will receive a FREE Class of 2019 t-shirt and a wristband that will allow them to make a tunnel for the team as they enter the field for the second half.

Greek Challenge — Sept. 5 vs. Howard, Oct. 3 vs. Wyoming
FREE T-SHIRTS
The top Greek organizations with the highest percent attendance at the home opener vs. Howard will receive a FREE t-shirt with their Greek letters at the Saturday, October 3 game vs. Wyoming.

In addition, the Greek organization with the best tailgate at the Saturday, October 3 contest vs. Wyoming as judged by the @appstpromo Street Team and special guests will win a prize.

VIP Clemson Game Experience — Sept. 5 vs. Howard
One lucky student in attendance at the home opener vs. Howard will receive a VIP Fan Experience for the App State/Clemson game in Death Valley. See “Golden Moments” below for details on how to win.

DORMination — Oct. 22 vs. Georgia Southern
ON-FIELD RECOGNITION, LOCKER ROOM AND FACILITY TOUR, CHALK TALK
The top two dorms with the highest percent attendance at the Georgia Southern game on Thursday, October 22 will receive the opportunity to be recognized on the field on Saturday, October 31 vs. Troy. They will also be invited to receive an exclusive locker room and facility tour with a chalk talk by the Appalachian State Football coaching staff.

Student Group Challenge — Nov. 5 vs. Arkansas State
LOCKER ROOM AND FACILITY TOUR, CHALK TALK
The top student organizations with the highest percent attendance in designated categories at the Arkansas State game on Thursday, November 5, will receive an exclusive locker room tour and a facility tour with a chalk talk by the Appalachian State coaching staff.

Tailgate Thursdays — Sept. 3, Oct. 1, Oct. 29
Every Thursday before a Saturday home game (excluding Thanksgiving), @appstpromo will host a mini-tailgate on campus for App State students with food, fun, and appearances by your favorite student athletes and coaches. Be sure to join the fun while supplies last — details to come!

Tailgate Thursdays — Oct. 22 vs. Georgia Southern, Nov. 5 vs. Arkansas State
Tailgate Thursdays will be taken to a whole other level when Appalachian State hosts nationally televised Thursday night games versus Sun Belt rivals Georgia Southern and Arkansas State. Stay tuned for details on exclusive tailgate parties for Appalachian State students prior to the primetime events.

Student Selfie Contest — Season-Long
Students that submit the best spirited selfies the week of each home game will have the chance to be featured on the video board during the game. To submit a selfie, post on social media using the hashtag #Yoselfie or email to appstpromo@appstate.edu.

Golden Moments — Season-Long
In conjunction with the Year of the Fan, the @appstpromo Street Team will be on the lookout for students with the most spirit in attendance at each home game for the chance to win prizes. Prizes for season opener vs. Howard includes VIP Clemson Game Experience.
