BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University athletics announced on Tuesday's season-opening edition of Mountaineer Talk that a series of special promotions have been finalized to encourage fans to pack Kidd Brewer Stadium for Appalachian State football's 2015 opener versus Howard on Sept. 5. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.

In addition to the Mountaineers putting their six-game winning streak on the line versus Howard, the season opener also serves as Hall of Fame Day at The Rock. Appalachian's star-studded 2015 Hall of Fame Class — Jerry Moore, Armanti Edwards, Chip Hooks, Daniel Wilcox and Leigh Cooper Wallace — will be recognized throughout the game.
