WINSTON SALEM, N.C. - Appalachian State University men's track and field finished up the Wake Forest Open on Saturday, posting ten athletes with top-five finishes.
The men started off the day with a third-place finish in the 4x100 relay, posting a time of 41.46.
Stanley Broaden was a highlight of the day, placing first in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 52.73. The time was the seventh-best in the App State all-time records list.
Ryan Hastings finished third in the 800 meter run on Saturday morning with a time of 1:52.8, while William Buckley earned a personal best of 21.90 in the 200 meter dash, finishing tenth.
In the field events Henry Bustle led the team by placing second in the long jump with a mark of 23-3.75.
The Mountaineers will return to action when they travel to the Raleigh Relays on March 27-28.
