Men's Golf Completes C&F Bank Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Appalachian State University men's golf wrapped up the only round of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate on Tuesday, as the Mountaineers finished tied for 26th place in the 32-team field at Kingsmill Resort.

App State, who was washed away with rain for the first two rounds, fired a 307 (+19) to wrap-up the tournament, tying with Binghamton. The 307 was 22 shots behind tournament champion, Tennessee, who carded matching 69s for its top scores of the afternoon.

Pacing the Mountaineers was junior Casey Komline and freshman Lee Mitchell with matching 75s (+3), placing the duo in a tie for 58th place. Graduate student Daniel Walsh closely followed with a 76 (+4) and a 79th place finish.

Rounding out the Appalachian scoring was seniors Josh Nichols and Drew Harris with a pair of 81s.

The Mountaineers return to action on Thursday, March 28 when they pair with the women's golf team for the University Cup at Mimosa Hills Country Club.
