Men's Soccer Heads to Davidson

BOONE, N.C. – Appalachian State University men's soccer will play their final conference game of the season when it travels to Davidson on Friday. Kick off is set for 7 p.m.

The Mountaineers are coming off of a tough match against NC State who beat the Apps, 4-1. App State got their goal on a 30-yard free kick from Patrick Harrow for his first goal of the season. Danny Free made four saves in the contest and moved into sixth place all-time on the career saves list in program history.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS: Davidson enters the match on Friday with an overall record of 7-9-1 and a 1-4 record in SoCon play. Valeriy Sviderskiy continues to lead the Wildcats offensively with seven goals this season. Max Pragnell leads the team with six assists. Matt Pacifici has received the bulk of the workload in net this season and sports a 6-7-1 record with 22 goals against and 69 saves.

NOTES:

-       Appalachian State holds an all-time series lead against Davidson with a 30-21-4 advantage in 55 total contests, including a 2-0 victory last season in Boone.

-       Wins on Friday at Davidson and Tuesday versus Longwood would give the program 425 all-time victories dating back to 1962.
