BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University men's soccer has announced camp dates for the summer of 2011. There will be three camps offered throughout the months of June and July.
The Senior 100- June 29-July 3, 2011
This camp is limited to the first 100 senior campers that apply. This will give the 100 campers the maximum exposure to the coaching staff and current players. The Senior 100 camp philosophy is to offer camps that are designed to give players that are looking to play in college the education to progress their game towards that goal. Coaches provide an ideal learning environment that challenges the player to elevate their game to a higher level. Senior camps also provide education on choosing a college, nutrition and strength and conditioning.
Junior Camp - July 23-26, 2011- ages 9-13
The philosophy of the junior camp is to create a camp that is designed to teach young players the fundamentals of soccer. Teaching players the correct technique is the basis of this camp. The coaches use the newest coaching methods and small-sided games increase the touches on the ball to maximize the learning curve. The emphasis is on fun and certified trainers are on duty for the duration of the camp.
Senior Team and Individual Camp- July 27-31, 2011- ages 14-18
This senior camp is geared towards preparing teams for their upcoming season. This is open to high school teams and club teams. Individuals are also allowed into this camp and will be put into teams based on age and skill level to compete in the games during camp.
