• ASU moved to 3-5 all-time versus the nation's top-ranked team.

• With the win, ASU moved to 6-2 overall and 4-1 in Southern Conference play. Although still a half-game behind Georgia Southern (7-1, 5-1 SoCon) in the conference standings, ASU controls its own destiny in its quest for an unprecedented seventh-straight SoCon championship.

• ASU moved to 31-2 in its last 33 SoCon games.

• ASU won for the sixth time in its last nine meetings with Georgia Southern.

• ASU avenged last year's 21-14 overtime loss at Georgia Southern, which ASU entered undefeated and ranked No. 1 nationally.

• The loss Georgia Southern's second in its last 15 games overall.

Individual

• ASU senior wide receiver Brian Quick became only the second player in school history and seventh in Southern Conference history with 3,000 receiving yards in a career. He went over 3,000 yards in his career with a 56-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter and finished with four receptions for 119 yards on the game.

• With 3,056 yards in his career, Quick just 68 yards shy of the ASU record of 3,124, set by Rick Beasley from 1978-80.

• The 100-yard receiving game was Quick's third-straight, tying an ASU record held by DaVon Fowlkes (2004) and Bob Agle (1968). The 100-yard performance was Quick's fifth of the season and 11th of his career.
