CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Appalachian State University men's golf wrapped up the 2010 spring campaign with a ninth-place finish at Virginia's Cavalier Classic over the weekend. The Mountaineers tied with George Mason at 312-303=615 (+39).
Casey Johnson led the Apps in 18th place at 72-78=150 (+6) while Dustin Hudson was five strokes back in 37th at 78-77=155 (+11).
Lance Wheeler carded an 80-76=156 (+12) for 44th place and Josh Nichols finished 51st at 82-76=158 (+14).
Senior Jacob Eggers rounded out the ASU squad at 85-74=159 (+15), good for 53rd.
Host Virginia claimed the team title with a 575 (-1), 20 strokes ahead of second place Seton Hall. UVA's Ben Kohles took home the individual title at 72-68=140 (-4).
