CHARLESTON, S.C. - Appalachian
State University men's tennis had a rough day at the Charleston Tournament as
it dropped all eight singles matches to College of Charleston.
The Mountaineers struggled to find it's A-game as all eight
App players failed to record a victory in their singles matches against last
season's Southern Conference regular season champions.
Alex Markov and Philip Kloc were the only Black and Gold
players to win a single set in their individual matches. Markov fell to Mickael
Trintignac 3-6, 7-5, 5-7, while Kloc lost to Kyle Parker 4-6, 6-4, 4-6.
ASU rebounded in doubles play as it came away with two of
the four matches.
Alain Humblet and Kloc maintained their winning pace by
defeating Tom Delme and Lukas Koncilia 8-6.
Markov and Andrew McKinnon teamed up to dominate Stephen
Hardy and Kyle Parker 8-3.
Appalachian finishes up the Charleston Tournament on Sunday
as it faces Gardner-Webb.
