Mountaineers in the NFL Update- Week 1

Each week during the NFL season, GoASU.com will detail how the two former Mountaineers playing in the league fared during the previous weekend's games.

• Jason Hunter made a career-high four tackles in his first game with the Detroit Lions. The fourth year pro played defensive end and also made a tackle for loss in Detroit's 45-27 loss to New orleans. Hunter is the fifth former Mountaineer to play for the Lions, joining Doug Beaty (1988), Larry Hand (1965-77), John Hollar (1949) and Mark Royals (1995-96).

• Marques Murrell made one special teams tackle in the Jets' 24-7 win over Houston.  The tackle was the 15th special teams tackle of his career.
