WKBC-FM Remains Flagship of Appalachian ISP Sports Network
BOONE, N.C. ? The Appalachian ISP Sports Network announced on Wednesday that WKBC 97.3 FM (North Wilkesboro) will serve as the network's flagship station for the 11th-consecutive year in 2009-10.

WKBC will continue to air every Mountaineer football and men's basketball game in 2009-10, in addition to the Appalachian ISP Sports Network's weekly coach's show, Mountaineer Talk, and other ASU athletics programming.

WKBC is a 100,000-watt FM station that blankets Western North Carolina, including North Wilkesboro, Hickory, Winston-Salem, Charlotte and the High Country. Its signal can be heard in parts of five states ? North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

The station has been a staple of the Appalachian Sports Network for parts of the last four decades, including as the network's flagship since 1999-2000.
