KNOXVILLE, TENN.- Appalachian State University men's track and field continued with its dominating performances over the weekend, as the Black and Gold had yet another solid outing at the Sea Ray Relays held at the University of Tennessee.
Senior Daniel Neal earned a 12th place finish in the 110m hurdles, running the race in 14.58, while John Svoboda was solid as well, coming in 13th in the 400m run with a time of 48.51.
Chris Moen led the Apps in the 1500m run, as the freshman came in 16th overall with a time of 3:55.85.
In the the throwing events, Jerod Gardner placed 12th in the discus with a toss of 155-03, while sophomore Tim Daly qualified for regionals in the hammer throw, coming in fifth in the event with a throw of 185-11.
Rounding out the meet, freshman Darius Purcell took home fourth in the high jump, leaping 6-6.75.
ASU returns to action Friday April 17 as they host the Appalachian Invitational at Kidd Brewer Stadium.
