BOONE, N.C.- Appalachian State University men's soccer signed McBruno Mbamala to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Shaun Pendleton announced Monday.
Mbamala, who was born in Imo State, Nigeria was a three-year letterwinner at South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas. He was a two-time all-district player and named the district utility Player of the Year as a senior as well as his team MVP.
As a member of the Texas Futbol Club, Mbamala helped lead the team to the Disney Showcase Finals as well as the Classic League Championship and a No. 3 ranking in Texas.
He is the 10th student-athlete ASU has signed to NLI's this season and will join the team in the fall.
