POSTGAME NOTESTeam• With its seventh-straight win, No. 7/8 Appalachian (7-2, 6-0 SoCon) set up a de facto Southern Conference championship game next Saturday at No. 6 Elon (8-1, 6-0 SoCon). The matchup will be the latest between teams with 6-0 SoCon records or better since the SoCon joined the NCAA Division I FCS/I-AA sub-classification in 1982. The only other meeting between two 6-0 SoCon teams since 1982 came on Nov. 9, 1996, when 6-0 Marshall defeated 6-0 East Tennessee State, 34-10.
• Chattanooga (5-4, 3-4 SoCon) remains just one victory shy of matching its win total from the past three seasons combined.
• ASU, which came in to the game averaging 50.8 points and 630.3 yards per game over its last four outings, was limited to its lowest scoring output since it scored 30 in a win at The Citadel on Oct. 3. The 322 yards of total offense was ASU's lowest since it managed only 246 yards in its season-opening loss at East Carolina.
• ASU extended its winning streak in SoCon games to 18, the longest in the league since 1959 and the fourth-longest in SoCon history.
• The win was ASU's 13th-straight over UTC at Kidd Brewer Stadium. The Mocs have not won in Boone since 1983.
• ASU won for the 22nd time in the last 25 overall meetings with UTC.

Armanti Edwards had a string of 141-consecutive passes without an interception snapped when Chattanooga's Jordan Tippit intercepted a pass in the second quarter. The INT was Tippit's SoCon-leading fifth of the season.

Devon Moore scored three touchdowns, giving him 11 rushing touchdowns in the past five games.
