STATESBORO, Ga. - Appalachian State University men's soccer heads to Georgia Southern on Saturday to take on the Eagles in the 2009 season finale.
The Mountaineers come into the match on a roll, having won three-straight and four of their last five matches. ASU currently sits at 7-8-1 overall and 3-4-1 in the SoCon.
Senior Arie Muniz leads the way offensively for the Apps' as he leads the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points. J.J. Elder and Tyler Regan are tied for second with 12 points apiece while Sean Dreybus has 11.
Collin Taylor has made 11 starts in goal, making 39 saves and posting a 1.42 goals against average.
Georgia Southern has struggled all season, coming into the match with an 0-14-1 record and 0-5 in the conference.
Danny Hall leads the squad with four goals while Joe Madigan has two assists.
The Eagles' have been outscored this season 45-9.
Mike Gubosh has started nine games in goal, making 52 saves and has a 3.13 goals against average.
ASU will be looking to break the Eagles' three-game win streak in the series.
