Team
• Appalachian (5-2, 4-0 SoCon) won its fifth-straight game overall.

• ASU won its 16th-consecutive game in SoCon game, avenging its last loss in conference action (38-35 vs. Georgia Southern – 10/20/2007). ASU's 16-game conference winning streak is the SoCon's longest since 1974 (East Carolina – 1971-74) and tied for the fifth-longest in league history.

• ASU moved to 4-0 in SoCon play for the third time in the past four seasons and fifth time in 38 seasons in the conference. After each of its previous four 4-0 starts, ASU went on to finish undefeated in conference play.

• ASU outgained GSU, 712-171, including a 413-96 advantage in the first half, en route to a 35-10 halftime lead.

• ASU's 36-point margin of victory was its largest in the series since defeating GSU 59-0 in 1939. Since that time, ASU's largest margin of victory over GSU was 19 points.

• The 52 points were the most Georgia Southern has ever surrendered to an NCAA Division I FCS opponent in a regular-season game.

Individual
• On a 31-yard rush on the final play of the first quarter, ASU quarterback Armanti Edwards became the second player in NCAA Division I history (FCS or FBS) with 8,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards in a career. Edwards finished the day with 8,829 passing yards and 4,026 rushing yards in his career. Missouri's Brad Smith was the first to accomplish the feat (8,799 passing yards, 4,289 rushing yards from 2002-05).

• Despite coming out of the game after ASU took a 42-10 lead less than five minutes into the second half, Edwards finished with 381 yards of total offense (320 on 26-of-34 passing, 61 on six rushes) to move into sixth place in NCAA Division I history with 12,855 career yards of offense.

• Junior running back Devon Moore's three touchdown rushes were a career high.

• Junior wide receiver CoCo Hillary had his first-career 100-yard receiving game (7 rec. for 104 yds.).

• Junior receiver Matt Cline set a new career high with 10 receptions.
