POSTGAME NOTES

Team
• Appalachian (3-2) won its third-straight game.

• N.C. Central fell to 0-6 for the first time since it went 0-7 in 1929.

• ASU out-gained NCCU, 644-194, including a 407-5 advantage in rushing yardage.

• ASU went over the 400-yard rushing plateau for the first time sixth time in its past 25 games but just the ninth time since 1977.

• ASU held an opponent to less than 50 rushing yards for just the third time since the beginning of the 2003 season (Mars Hill – 2006 (36) and Western Carolina – 2008 (-2)).

• ASU extended its home winning streak over in-state opponents to 26 games (last home loss to an in-state opp.: Oct. 6, 1984 – 34-7 vs. Western Carolina).

• ASU moved to 35-11-2 all-time in homecoming games at Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Individual
• ASU junior running back Devon Moore turned in his third 100-yard rushing game of the season and fourth of his career with 124 yards on 11 carries (11.3 avg.).

• Moore's 73-yard touchdown run in the first quarter was the longest rush of his career (prev. 46-yd TD vs. Delaware in 2007 NCAA Division I national championship).

• Moore's 73-yard TD run was ASU's second-longest play of the year (longest: 74-yd. TD pass from Armanti Edwards to Brian Quick last Saturday at The Citadel).

• It was also ASU's longest running play since Edwards' 76-yard touchdown run at Chattanooga on Nov. 8, 2008.

• The two-touchdown effort was the first of Moore's career. He had previously scored one touchdown in a game 12 times.

• ASU senior quarterback Armanti Edwards tallied 334 yards of total offense (237 passing, 97 rushing).

• Edwards 97 rushing yards came on 10 carries (9.7 avg.) and left him just three yards shy of the 18th 100-yard rushing effort of his career.

• ASU junior wide receiver Matt Cline set career highs with eight receptions and 107 receiving yards. It was the first 100-yard game of his career.

• ASU junior kicker Jason Vitaris' 40-yard field goal in the third quarter moved him to 4-for-4 on the season from 40 yards and beyond.

• Edwards' first-quarter interception snapped his string of 85-straight attempts without an interception to start the season.
