Sunset Beach, N.C. - Appalachian State University women's golf placed 12th at the three-round Sea Trail Intercollegiate on Sunday with scores of 327-317-308-952 (+88).
Mary Kate Bowman improved throughout the weekend and finished in 21st place with 79-78-76-233 (+17) over the weekend.
After a first-round 82,
Brooke DeHart matched Bowman with rounds of 78 and 76 over the weekend to finish at 236 (+20) in 32nd place for the tournament.
Kerri Dice shot 83-79-77-239 (+23) to finish tied for 50th out of 93 golfers.
Jordan Kreuter posted rounds of 83-82-79-244 (+28) for 64th place and
Emily Cheves tied for 85th with an 86-89-82-257 (41).
East Tennessee State won the team title with a three-round score of 309-298-298-905 (+41) while Longwood was second, seven strokes back at 912, and Elon finished third with a score of 914 in the field of 17 teams.
ETSUs Laura Jansone claimed the individual title with a 73-70-73-216 par performance.
The Mountaineers have nearly a month off before the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C. starting October 18.
