Waynesboro, N.C. - Kerri Dice shot a team-best 74 (+2) on Tuesday as Appalachian State University women's golf finished 18th overall at the Great Smokies Women's Intercollegiate tournament with a two-day score of 307-310-617.
Mary Kate Bowman shot 71-76-147 (+3) to lead the Mountaineers and tie for a 16th-place individual finish at the two-day event.
Western Carolina (284-294-578) won the tournament for the sixth time in 10 years, while Belmont's Lorie Warren shot 69-69-138 for a first-place finish.
For the Apps, Dice added her second-round score to Monday's 79 to finish nine-over with a 153, good for 52nd place overall.
Emily Cheves shot 78-78-156 (+12) to finish 79th overall.
Brooke DeHart was 96th with a 79-82-161 (+17) over 36 holes and
Jordan Kreuter tied for 106th place with an 81-84-165 (+21).
In addition to the Lady Catamounts and Mountaineers, four other Southern Conference rivals attended the tournament, as Wofford finished in second place at 293-290-583, Samford was fourth at 291-297-588, Elon finished sixth with a 297-300-597 and The Citadel was 22nd at 329-323-652. Wofford's Sarah Hunt finished second at the tournament and was the top SoCon competitor at the event, hosted by Western Carolina at the Waynesville Country Club.
