Three ASU Games to be Televised as Part of SoCon's SportSouth Slate
ATLANTA - SportSouth announced on Thursday that three Appalachian State University games will be televised live as part of its 2008 Southern Conference football telecast schedule. Appalachian's home tilt with The Citadel on Oct. 4 and road contests at Georgia Southern (Oct. 18) and Western Carolina (Nov. 22) will be carried live on SportSouth, which reaches more than nine million homes across six Southeastern states. To accommodate the television broadcasts, all three games will kick off at 3 p.m. The addition of the three SportSouth games brings the total number of Mountaineer games set to be televised live in 2008 to five. ASU is also slated for national-television appearances on Aug. 30 at LSU on ESPN and at home versus Wofford on Oct. 31 on ESPN2. Click here to view the complete 2008 ASU football schedule.
