WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Sophomores Jordan Kreuter and Brooke DeHart both posted top-20 finishes to lead Appalachian State University women's golf at this weekend's First Market Bank Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary at the par-72, 6,063-yard Marsh Hawk at Ford's Colony.

Kreuter carded rounds of 82 and 77 (15-over-par 159) to finish tied for 11th among 113 individuals in the field, just two strokes shy of a top-10 showing and 13 off the medalist pace set by Bradley's Bari-Lynn Erais.

DeHart was right behind with rounds of 83 and 77 (+16 160), good for a tie for 17th. Unfortunately for the Mountaineers, no other team member finished higher than 79th place and the Apps finished tied for 12th among 20 teams in the field.

Appalachian (337-322-659) finished 27 strokes behind team champion Marshall, which won a playoff over James Madison.

Appalachian continues its season on April 9 when it hosts the second-annual University Cup match play competition versus Gardner-Webb at Mimosa Hills C.C. in Morganton, N.C.
