POSTGAME NOTES

Team
? With the win, Appalachian (9-2, 7-0 SoCon) clinched at least a share of its fourth-consecutive Southern Conference championship and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Championship playoffs.

? ASU won for the 40th time in its past 41 home games.

? A mix of rain and snow fell throughout the game. Much of the game was played with wind-chill factors below freezing, due to winds upwards of 25 miles per hour throughout.

? Elon's 16 points were its second-lowest total of the season.

Individual
? Prior to leaving the game due to injury in the fourth quarter, ASU quarterback Armanti Edwards rushed for 104 yards, marking his 17th-career 100-yard rushing game.

? Edwards finished the day with 251 yards of total offense (147 passing, 104 rushing), leaving him just 25 yards shy of becoming the 26th player in NCAA Division I FCS (Football Championship Subdivision ? formerly Division I-AA) history with 10,000 yards of total offense in a career.

? Edwards completed 12-of-14 passes without an interception to stretch his string of consecutive passes without an INT to 171. The SoCon single-season record is 203 (Furman's Braniff Bonaventure, 1996).

? ASU defensive back Mark LeGree broke an ASU single-season record with his ninth interception of the season in the second quarter (prev. 8 by Larry Harbin, 1963). LeGree's nine interceptions lead the nation.

? Elon kicker Andrew Wilcox became only the second player in SoCon history with field goals in 11 games in a season.
