Greenville, S.C.- Lee Rutter scored his first collegiate goal but it was not enough as Appalachian lost to Furman 2-1 Wednesday night at Furman.

The Mountaineers had another chance just four minutes later but Arie Muniz's shot was stopped by Alec Kann.
