BOONE, N.C. ? All tickets available to the general public for Saturday's homecoming showdown between No. 2 Appalachian State University and No. 12 The Citadel are sold out, ASU athletics ticket manager
Steve White announced on Wednesday.
Appalachian students may still print their tickets by clicking
here right up until Saturday's kickoff but NCHSAA coaches' passes and Mountaineer Summer Reading Program passes may not be redeemed for homecoming.
Saturday's sellout marks the second-straight Mountaineer home game that has sold out in advance. Last Saturday's 48-14 win over Presbyterian, which was witnessed by 28,405 at 20,150-seat Kidd Brewer Stadium despite a steady rainfall throughout the contest, was declared a sellout last Wednesday as well.
For fans left without tickets for this weekend's battle, there are options to take in the game. The contest will be televised live on SportSouth beginning at 3 p.m. SportSouth is available in nearly 10 million homes across the Southeast, as well as on DirecTV channel 649 and Dish Network channel 437.
Additionally,
GoASU.com will debut its “behind-the-scenes” video streaming during this week's game. The free “behind-the-scenes” coverage is set to include live video of all pregame, halftime and postgame festivities on the field, while its cameras will give viewers an exclusive look at what's going on in the Appalachian ISP Sports Network radio booth during the game.
For fans that aren't able to watch the game, the Appalachian ISP Sports Network's radio coverage begins at 1 p.m. Click
