BOONE, N.C. - In honor of Homecoming, the Appalachian State University track and field coaches will be hosting an alumni tailgate on the outside balcony of Varsity Gym on the Rivers Street side on Saturday, September 30. The event is scheduled from 1:30-3 p.m., before kickoff between the Mountaineers and Phoenix. All Appalachian track and field and cross country alumni are welcome to attend. Burgers and hotdogs will be available served by the Mountaineer coaches. The 2005 conference championship rings will also be available for anyone who has not yet received their ring, as will senior awards that have yet be distributed. In the event of inclement weather, the tailgate will move indoors to the upper balcony of Varsity Gym. For more information, please contact a member of the Appalachian coaching staff.
