Appalachian State University softball will now open its 2007 campaign against Liberty University on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. on a neutral field at Gardner-Webb University. The Mountaineers were originally schedule to play at Longwood University's tournament, however that event was canceled due to inclement weather. Following Saturday's opener, the team will then travel to Hickory, N.C. to face Lenoir-Rhyne in a doubleheader starting at 1 p.m. on the Bears' home field.
