MADISON, Wis. — Brody Tidwell led the way for App State Men's Golf at the Badger Invitational, tying for 16th place Tuesday with a 1-under total of 72-70-73—215 at University Ridge.
The Mountaineers placed 17th as a team with a 24-over total of 301-291-296—888.
Tidwell has placed in the top 20 in both fall tournaments to date.
Highlighted by a 1-under second round,
James Marriott tied for 57th with a 6-over total of 76-71-75—222, and
Matthew McDougall had the best final round on the team en route to a tie for 65th at 7 over (76-75-72—224).
Charlie Horne tied for 90th at 15 over (77-78-76—231), and
Cole Bergheim finished 99th at 23 over (87-75-77—239).
Southern Miss won the team title at 23 under, led by individual medalist Jake Moffitt at 14 under.
App State is back in action Monday for the start of the West Bay Collegiate Invitational in Estero, Fla.
