BOONE, N.C. — Moving forward from a record-setting season, App State Women's Golf will begin its 2026-27 schedule with four fall events.
Head coach
Chan Metts returns six of his seven players from the 2025-26 roster and has added a pair of highly regarded freshmen in
Hayden Cherry and
Addison Douglass. NCAA regional qualifier
Zoe Duval and
Alisa Pressley enjoyed standout seasons last season as freshmen, playing alongside accomplished App State veterans
Ona Lukes and
Salem Lee.
Kendal Graham and
Addi Ritter are also back after being newcomers to the program last season.
App State opens its fall schedule Aug. 24 at the revered Quail Hollow Club, participating alongside five other Carolinas programs in the inaugural Truist Access, Opportunity & Development (AOD) Summit. There will be a 36-hole competition Monday following Sunday activities that include exposure to industry leaders, career development opportunities and meaningful networking experiences.
The Mountaineers have two-day, 54-hole events in Greenville, N.C. (Pirate Collegiate Classic from Sept. 14-15) and Spartanburg, S.C. (Terrier Intercollegiate from Oct. 12-13) before traveling to Hawaii for the Rainbow Wahine Invitational that runs from Oct. 19-21 in Lihu'e, Kaua'i.
Last season, when Duval became the first NCAA Regional qualifier in program history, the Mountaineers posted a 102-39-3 record against head-to-head competition with five top-three finishes in 11 total tournaments.
App State produced eight of the top 10 team rounds in program history and the top five 54-hole team totals in program history. There are 14 individual rounds in the 60s in program history, and 10 of them occurred during the 2025-26 season.
