BOONE, N.C. — App State Men's Golf has released its 2026–27 schedule, featuring 11 events across the fall and spring seasons as head coach
John Michael Cole begins his second year with the Mountaineers.
App State's current 10-man roster includes returning veterans
Cole Bergheim,
Rob Bergevin and
Jack Seward, along with 2025 signee
James Marriott, who was sidelined after he enrolled at App State last year.
Of the six newcomers, there are four transfers in
Matthew McDougall (Lenoir-Rhyne),
Brody Tidwell (Georgia State),
Wyatt Beaver (Sandhills C.C.) and
Michael Snyder (NC State). The two incoming freshmen are
Charlie Horne (Fayetteville, N.C.) and
Caden Lee (Milton, Ga.).
Fall 2026
The Mountaineers open the season at the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate from Sept. 6–8 at the Grande Dunes Resort in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Competition resumes later next month at the Badger Invitational, held Sept. 27–29 at University Ridge in Madison, Wis.
October includes events over three consecutive weeks:
- West Bay Collegiate Invitational — Oct. 5–6, West Bay Resort, Estero, Fla.
- Phoenix Invitational — Oct. 12–13, Alamance Country Club, Burlington, N.C.
- Quebin Cup — Oct. 19–20, Sedgefield Country Club, Greensboro, N.C.
Spring 2027
The spring season begins with the Sam Ryder Intercollegiate on March 1–2 at the LPGA International facility in Daytona Beach, Fla., and App State will again host the Surf Club Invitational at the Surf Golf and Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach, S.C. That event runs from March 8-9.
The Mountaineers then compete in the:
- Tiger Invitational — March 15–16, Auburn University Club, Auburn, Ala.
- Seahawk Invitational — March 22–23, Country Club of Landfall, Wilmington, N.C.
- Wofford Invitational — April 12–13, Country Club of Spartanburg, Spartanburg, S.C.
The schedule concludes with the Sun Belt Championship tournament, set for April 26–29 at Annandale Golf Club in Madison, Miss.
