BOONE, N.C. — The App State field hockey team snapped a three-game skid on Friday afternoon, shutting out Ball State 2-0.
Senior goalkeeper
Dakota Anderson recorded her fourth shutout and fourth double-digit save performance of the season, stopping all 13 shots on goal she faced to keep Ball State (3-7, 1-3 MAC) off the scoreboard.
Freshman and leading scorer
Chloe Hook provided the game-winner off a third-quarter penalty corner, tipping a pass from
Sophia Baxter past the goalkeeper.
Brynn Shaffer doubled the advantage later in the period on another penalty corner set piece, marking her fourth goal of the season.
