BOONE, N.C. – App State Baseball announced its schedule for the 2026 season on Wednesday. Season tickets as well as tickets to the annual App State Baseball Brunch are now on sale.
The Mountaineers will play a 53-game schedule with 38 of those contests being played in North Carolina, South Carolina or Tennessee, including 22 home games at Beaver Field at Jim and Bettie Smith Stadium in Boone.
Season tickets are on sale now for both new purchases and renewals and start at just $120 for all 22 home games at Smith Stadium, as well as five home games that are being hosted in Hickory. Single-game tickets will go on sale in January.
"We are fortunate to play in one of the most competitive conferences and one of the most competitive regions in college baseball," head coach
Kermit Smith said. "We are equally fortunate to have a loyal and supportive fanbase that brings our team energy both at home and on the road.
"This schedule will not only provide our fans many great opportunities to watch our team play, but it will also put our team in the best possible position to achieve our postseason goals."
App State will open the season Feb. 13-15 at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory, N.C., against Canisius in the first meeting between the two programs since 2015.
After a midweek matchup at Duke on Feb. 17, the Mountaineers will take on three different opponents in the second weekend of play, facing Queens in Charlotte on Feb. 20, North Carolina A&T in Hickory on Feb. 21 and Southern Illinois in the home opener on Feb. 22 at Smith Stadium. The matchup with the Salukis will be the first between the two programs in Boone.
App State will hit the road the following week, renewing a long-standing series with ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn., on Feb. 24, before visiting Gardner-Webb for a three-game weekend set Feb. 27-March 1.
The nonconference slate continues at Smith Stadium on March 3, when App State hosts Wake Forest. The Mountaineers will then play a split-series with Presbyterian that weekend, facing the Blue Hose in Clinton, S.C., on March 6, in Hickory on March 7 and in Boone on March 8.
The Mountaineers will continue a season-long five-game homestand with a midweek matchup against Western Carolina on March 10, before opening Sun Belt play against Coastal Carolina March 13-15. App State will host its annual baseball brunch prior to the contest on Saturday, March 14.
Registration is now open.
The Mountaineers will not face an opponent more than 150 miles from Smith Stadium in the opening month of play.
As conference action heats up, the Mountaineers will host Marshall (April 2-4), ULM (April 10-12), Georgia Southern (April 24-26) and Louisiana (May 8-10) at Smith Stadium.
The 2026 road slate in the Sun Belt will feature trips to Old Dominion (March 20-22), Southern Miss (March 27-29), James Madison (April 17-19), Troy (May 1-3) and Georgia State (May 14-16). The matchup with the Golden Eagles will mark the Mountaineers' first trip to Hattiesburg, Miss., in program history.
The Black and Gold will also host midweek matchups against High Point (March 24), UNC Asheville (March 31) and ETSU (April 21), while traveling to face High Point (March 17), UNC Asheville (April 7), Western Carolina (April 14) and Wake Forest (April 28) in a contest played at Keeter Stadium in Shelby, N.C.
The Sun Belt Tournament will return to Montgomery, Ala., and will be played from May 19-24.
