BOONE, N.C. - Friday's ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of App State's new Randy Marion Track & Field Facility has been moved to the fifth floor of the Mark E. Ricks Athletics Complex due to impending inclement weather. The ceremony will be held at 4 p.m.
The event is open to the public, and members of the community are invited to attend.
Competitively, Friday's portion of the App State Open will consist only of the men's and women's hammer throws, which started at 11:45 a.m.
The App State Open will resume at 10 a.m. on Saturday, and admission is free. Following the meet, App State track and field alumni are invited to a social and fundraiser on Saturday.
