Harris Named NCCSIA All-State First Team

Mount Olive, N.C. -- App State men's soccer defender Zeiko Harris was named First Team All-NCCSIA, the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA) announced Thursday, Dec. 5. A total of 22 student-athletes from seven different North Carolina schools were named to the 2019 University Division All-State men's soccer first and second teams.

Harris anchored the App State defense that ended the regular season leading the Sun Belt in shutouts (7), T-2nd in goals allowed (20) and 3rd in goals against average (1.153). App State's shutout percentage of .412 sat at 37th nationally. The Mountaineers also posted their eighth shutout of the season in the Sun Belt Tournament against Howard.

Along with Harris' defensive effort, he scored two goals this season, including the game-winner in the 2-0 win over George Mason. The defender tallied nine shots with four on goal. This is one of many honors for Harris, who was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year and All-Sun Belt First Team in November.
