BOONE, N.C. — Doug Middleton made his Miami Dolphins debut Sunday, one of the Week 4 highlights for App State alums in the NFL.
 
Middleton played 16 snaps at free safety in a 30-10 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. He signed with the team on Sept. 19 and was inactive days later for the Dolphins' next game.

Daniel Kilgore, C, Miami Dolphins
A team captain, Kilgore played all 52 offensive snaps in the loss to the Chargers.

Ronald Blair, DE, San Francisco 49ers
The unbeaten 49ers (3-0) were off and return to action Monday night against Cleveland.

Sam Martin, P/KO/H, Detroit Lions
Martin averaged 43.7 yards (and 42.7 net yards) on three punts with a long of 49 in a 34-30 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He held on field goals/extra points, kicked off and made one tackle on a 39-yard kickoff return.

Kendall Lamm, OL, Cleveland Browns
Lamm, who is injured, was inactive for a win against the Baltimore Ravens.

Steve Wilks, DC, Cleveland Browns
The Browns forced three turnovers in their 40-25 win against Baltimore.
 
Three App State alums remain on practice squads, with rookie cornerback Tae Hayes on the Jacksonville Jaguars, rookie safety Austin Exford on the Houston Texans and offensive guard Colby Gossett on the Cleveland Browns. Rookie running back Jalin Moore is on the reserve/non-football injury list with the New York Jets as he fully recovers from a leg injury sustained during his senior season.
