Â
For the first time in 13 matchups, App State lost to Georgia State. The series had featured the Mountaineers' most wins against any opponent without a loss.
Â
After not losing the turnover battle in any of its first seven games, App State lost that battle for the second straight game. The 3-0 margin was the same as the previous week at Georgia Southern.
Â
OFFENSE
Â
A Mountaineer passing offense that entered the week second in the league and top 30 in the country outperformed its season average by passing for 297 yards on 35 attempts.
Â
Team captain
Malachi Singleton completed 23 of 34 passes for 241 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions, while wide receiver
