Lexi Kohut posted a match-high 15 kills, with Longley finishing with 14 to post her first double-double of the season. Kara Spicer added nine kills and seven total blocks (one solo, six assists) and Anna Kincaid had a career-high eight kills.

Porter dished out 38 assists to go along with her 11 digs for her second double-double of the season.

In the opening set, a 5-0 run from the Mountaineers allowed them to open a 11-7 lead. The Black and Gold built its lead to as large as eight points, capturing the set 25-17.

In the second set, App State took control early and built an early 9-1 lead and never looked back, en route to a 25-11 victory.

In Set 3, the Raiders built a 10-point lead at 18-8. The Mountaineers were able to pull within four points at 24-20, but could not get any closer, dropping the set 25-20.

The fourth set saw Appalachian use an early 7-0 run to build a 9-5 edge. App State used a four-point spurt later in the set to open a 19-9 advantage and went on to win the set 25-20 to clinch the match.

Against Campbell (2-7), the Black and Gold notched a 25-19, 25-18, 25-12 sweep of the Camels. In all, the Mountaineers registered a season-high 12 service aces, with four apiece coming from Porter and Reilly.

Reilly recorded three service aces in the first five points of the match as the Mountaineers opened an early 5-0 lead. App State would build a nine-point edge, only to see the Camels pull within four at 21-17. But the Mountaineers rebounded and an attack error by Campbell gave the Black and Gold the opening frame, 25-19.

After Campbell jumped out to a 10-8 lead in the second set, the Mountaineers roared back with six of the next seven points to open a 14-11 advantage. Clinging to a three-point lead, Longley would serve two aces in a three-point span to push the Mountaineer edge to 20-14.

Set 3 was tied at 7-7, before Appalachian broke a 7-7 tie with seven consecutive points, getting three service aces along the way from Porter. The Mountaineers would not let Campbell get closer the rest of the way, capturing the set 25-12 to complete the sweep.

On offense, Spicer led the way with eight kills, with Kohut adding seven and Kincaid chipping in with six.

Porter finished with 28 assists and eight digs, while Reilly posted a match-high 16 digs.
