With six wins this season, head coach
Meghan Dawson has surpassed her single-season win total of five from her first season in 2015. This is also the first six-win season for the Mountaineers since 2009.
Just four minutes into the game and on the first shot by both sides, Williams scored off an assist from Cimbalist.
At 30:04 in the first half, Williams delivered a pass to Cimbalist for the senior's ninth goal of the year. Just 47 seconds later, Cimbalist picked up her second assist on Bell's score as the Mountaineers went into the half with a 3-0 lead.
At the 37th minute, Cimbalist scored her second goal unassisted. The senior midfielder forced CMU's goalkeeper Lily Amadio out of the goal and pushed the ball right past her for goal number 10.
Williams scored her second goal of the game and seventh of the season in the 57th minute. Senior
Rebecca McLean was credited with the assist, her second this year.
Gaines made three saves against the Chippewas and the Mountaineers had 13 shots, eight shots on goal, and two penalty corners.
App State will take an eleven day break before hosting Saint Louis on Oct. 19 at Brandon & Erica M. Adcock Field.
