• Appalachian State junior running back Marcus Cox (105 yds., 1 TD on 11 carries) rushed for 100 yards for the 15th time in 25 career games. His 15 100-yard rushing games moved him into a tie for fifth in Appalachian State history (record: 22 – John Settle, 1983-86).
• With 105 yards, Cox also moved into seventh place on Appalachian State's all-time rushing yardage list with 2,770 career yards (record: 4,804 – Kevin Richardson, 2004-07).
• Appalachian State sophomore quarterback Taylor Lamb's four touchdown passes were a career high (prev.: 3 vs. Liberty, Oct. 11, 2014; vs. Idaho, Nov. 29, 2014).
• Redshirt freshman running back Jalin Moore scored the first touchdown of his career on a 7-yard run in the third quarter.
• Redshirt freshman quarterback J.P. Caruso threw the first touchdown pass of his career on a 37-yard pass to sophomore Ike Lewis in the third quarter.
