DECEMBER 19, 2015 • MONTGOMERY, ALA. (CRAMTON BOWL)

POSTGAME NOTES

Team

• The win came in Appalachian State's first-ever NCAA bowl game.

• Appalachian State also set a new record for victories by a team in its first season as a full-fledged member of NCAA Division I FBS (previously Division I-A) after transitioning from Division I FCS (previously I-AA). Marshall previously held the record, having gone 10-3 in 1997.

• Appalachian State became the first team to win a bowl game in its first season as a full-fledged member of Division I-A/FBS.

• Appalachian State won for the 17th time in its last 19 games.

• Appalachian State snapped a three-game postseason losing streak and moved to 29-23 all-time in postseason games.

• Appalachian State won a game that it trailed after three quarters for the first time since it overcame a 23-21 deficit to beat UL Monroe, 31-29, on Nov. 8, 2014.

Individual

• With two touchdown passes, Appalachian State sophomore quarterback Taylor Lamb became Appalachian State's all-time single-season leader with 31 touchdown passes in 2015 (prev.: 30 by Armanti Edwards, 2008).

• With 162 rushing yards, Appalachian State junior Marcus Cox became the fourth student-athlete in school history with 4,000 rushing yards in a career. He finished the evening with 4,088 career yards.

• The 100-yard rushing game was the 22nd of Cox's career, tying the school record set by John Settle from 1983-86.

• Appalachian State junior tight end Barrett Burns caught two touchdown passes, giving him eight for the season, which matched the single-season school record for a tight end (Daniel Bettis – 2005).
