Head Coach Jerry Moore
On the win:
"The pressure has been on us since The Citadel game (a 52-28 loss on Sept.
15) on. These are things we need to go through. We didn't play as well as we'd
want but were still able to come back and win, which I think you should be able
to do if you're a good football team. I am proud of our players. They gave
great effort and never gave up."
Quarterback Jamal Jackson
On the game-winning 80-yard touchdown drive:
"We knew we had our backs against the wall but we practice these
situations all the time so that we know how to execute when the time comes. Our
wide receivers and linemen stepped up on that drive and I was able to make a
couple of plays with my feet to keep the drive going and throw the ball away
when there was nothing there. It's not always going to be easy but that's why
we practice. We found a way to persevere as a team."
Wide receiver Sean Price
On game-winning 22-yard touchdown catch with 22 seconds left:
"We ran four (vertical routes). How things seemed to pan out, I was
open. Jamal put the ball on me and I was able to make the catch. I had never
been in that situation but it was a great situation and I enjoyed it."
