Kayla Hill has been a part of Academic Services for Student Athletes staff at Appalachian State University since 2011.

Prior to becoming an academic advisor, Hill served as a graduate assistant in Academic Services for Student Athletes. 

A native of Ashe County, Hill is a former student-athlete at Appalachian. She was a member of the App State softball team from 2005-2009. She served as an assistant coach for softball from 2010-2012 working with the pitchers. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Health and Physical Education and went on to earn a Master of Arts degree in College Student Development in 2013.

Hill was inducted into the Ashe County Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. She and her husband, Adam, have two children, twin girls: Hayden and Haley. They reside in Fleetwood.
