Colby Arrington is in his second season at Appalachian State.
In his first season in the High Country, Arrington helped the Mountaineers post nine conference wins and make its third straight Sun Belt Tournament appearance. Her saw libero Emma Reilly earn First Team All-Sun Belt honors, after posting 550 digs on the season (fifth all-time).
Arrington spent the 2018 season at William & Mary, where he helped Claire Farrell earn Colonial Athletic Association All-Rookie Team honors.
Prior to William & Mary, Arrington was a member of the James Madison coaching staff in which he held various positions throughout his three-year stint with the program. During the 2017 campaign, the Dukes compiled a 23-6 record as they went on to win their second consecutive CAA Championship, before falling to Colorado in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
Arrington was an instrumental piece in guiding four players to All-Conference honors, which included three members on the All-CAA Second Team and one member on the CAA All-Rookie Team. Working primarily with defense and serve/pass systems, he also guided senior libero, Taylor Austin, to AVCA All-Region Honors.
While at JMU, Arrington was also a member of the nationally-ranked men's club volleyball program. He served as president of the organization for two years where he was responsible for running the day-to-day operations which included practice planning, fundraising, and travel arrangements.
Throughout his college career, Arrington was actively involved with JMU Volleyball Camps and spent time working other college and satellite camps. Prior to his time at JMU, Arrington spent three years on the 18's coaching staff for Next Revolution Volleyball Club in Roanoke, Va.
A native of Rocky Mount, Va., Arrington earned his Bachelor of Science in sport & recreation management from JMU in 2017.
