Amber Hildebrandt

Amber Hildebrandt is in her second season as an assistant coach at Appalachian State.

In her first season at App State, Hildebrandt saw the Mountaineers post nine conference wins and qualify for the Sun Belt Tournament for the third straight season. The Mountaineers posted a six-match winning streak during the conference season, marking the second straight season the Black and Gold have recorded a six-match conference winning streak.

Hildebrandt returns to App State after serving as a coach with Southern Select Volleyball Club in 2018. She also has held coaching stints at Xavier for the 2016 and 2017 season, with App State in 2015 and with Oakland in 2014.
 
In two seasons at Xavier, the Musketeers posted 433 victories, including 20 in the 2016 season. Xavier posted a 13-5 mark in the BIG EAST in 2016 and advanced the conference tournament title match.
 
During the 2015 season in Boone, Hildebrandt helped the Black and Gold go 22-8 on the season and 13-3 in the Sun Belt, including an appearance in the Sun Belt Tournament championship match. She also helped four players to AVCA All-South East Region honors and saw five players land All-Sun Belt accolades.
 
Prior to Appalachian State, Hildebrandt was a volunteer assistant coach at Oakland University in 2014. The squad posted a 22-10 overall record, which marked the school's first 20-win season during Division I competition, while helping the team post a 12-2 record in conference play. The Golden Grizzlies also captured the Horizon League regular season and tournament titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
 
Hildebrandt was a four-year letter winner at Oakland (2010-13), helping the squad record 68 wins during her playing career. She played in 200 sets during her career and earned all-conference academic honors twice.
 
The Lake Zurich, Ill., native earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Oakland in 2013.
