Erica Hanson joined App State Athletics in July 2023 as the Director of Operations for the Mountaineers' soccer program and moved into the administrative wing in March 2025 as an Athletics Administrative Support Specialist.

Prior to joining the soccer staff, Hanson served the High Country community as an insurance specialist at AppOrtho. Before that, Hanson was a Special Project Coordinator for It Starts with Me Health, where she served the company in a variety of capacities over a 12-year tenure.
 
A native of Missoula, Mont., Hanson graduated from the University of Montana with a bachelor's degree in medical assisting. She lives in Boone, N.C. with her boyfriend, Keane, and enjoys spending her free time hiking, biking and camping.
