P.J. Bellantoni

Bellantoni is entering his third season on staff for Appalachian State. Bellantoni’s responsibilities include overseeing the scout team, filming and coding games in Sportscode to assist the coaching staff as well as scout preparation, and also oversee the managers.

The third-year coordinator assisted the coaches in individual workouts and will be responsible for breaking down film for the coaches along with helping prepare scouts for upcoming opponents. Bellantoni helped the Mountaineers with a successful 22-win season and capture the second WBI championship title in school history in 2019.

Bellantoni graduated from Appalachian with a degree in marketing. During his time at App, he spent two years on the practice team and his last year as a student assistant.

Prior to graduating from App, Bellantoni graduated from Middle Creek High School and its basketball program. Bellantoni also was the head coach for the local Watauga Warriors. During the summer, Bellantoni helped coach youth basketball with the Charlotte Hornets. He continues to stay as an active Jr. NBA youth coach.
