Prior to App State: Teasett comes to the High Country following an impactful two-year stint at Northwestern State University. Before starting his collegiate career, he had a near-perfect four-year run of high school basketball. A graduate of Scotlandville High School, Teasett helped lead his team to four consecutive Division I state titles during his time. He helped the Hornets compile an 88-4 record over his last two seasons while also garnering all-state selection honors. He averaged a little under 20 points per game while chipping in with three rebounds and three assists. After signing to play college basketball at Northwestern State, he instantly became a threat on the floor. Teasett played in all 29 games as a true freshman, averaging just under 10 points per game to accompany a pair of rebounds and a pair of assists. He posted a season-high 25 points against Houston Baptist University and scored 16 points against No. 1 Gonzaga. Teasett tallied 10 double-digit scoring performances during his freshman year as he led the team with 43 made three-pointers. During his sophomore season, Teasett played in 23 games for the Demons, starting 21 of them. The dual-threat guard registered a trio of 20-point scoring efforts, including a career-high 27 points against Houston Baptist. He also put up a double-digit performance for the second consecutive season against the nation's No. 1 team, this time scoring 18 points at Baylor University. He remained lethal from beyond the arc during his sophomore campaign, as he once again led the Demons with 61 long balls on the year. Kerns' addition of Teasett to the squad gives the Mountaineers a combo guard that can score and assist while being a presence on the defensive end of the floor. Over the course of his collegiate career, Teasett has played in 52 games and scored 548 points. A 94-foot player, Teasett has dished out 138 assists while also recording 44 steals.
