2020: Appeared in all 12 games as a reserve defensive end … Finished season with 10 tackles and two QB hurries … Season-high three tackles at Marshall.

2019: Played in 13 games at defensive end and made his first career start in the win at North Carolina … Delivered a career-best game in the New Orleans Bowl win against UAB by coming off the bench to record 2.5 sacks … Finished the season with 18 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 4.0 tackles for loss … Had two solo sacks, one for an 8-yard loss, and combined with Akeem Davis-Gaither on another sack as he finished the game with three tackles … Had a career-high four stops in the win against Charlotte … Opened the season with 1.5 tackles for loss and a sack for a 4-yard loss against ETSU.

2018: Returned from injury to appear in two games at defensive end: at Texas State and against Georgia State … Had two tackles on the season, both in the Georgia State game.

2017: Played in 10 games as a reserve defensive end … Finished the season with seven tackles … Recorded consecutive two-tackle games to open the season … Notched a tackle for loss in the opener at Georgia.

2016: Redshirted

High School: All--South Piedmont 3A selection as a senior in 2015 ... Won the 3A Midwest Regional championship in the discus and placed fourth at the state meet as a senior. Was also on a second-place 4x100 relay team at the state meet.

Personal: Dawkins’ father, Tommy, was a standout defensive end at App State before he played in two games for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1987.
