Patrick McDonald joined App State Football as an Assistant Director of Player Personnel in March 2024.

In 2023, McDonald served as a defensive recruiting coordinator at Georgia Tech, following a 2022 season in which he was a recruiting intern for the Yellow Jackets. He was a player personnel intern at Georgia Southern before relocating to Atlanta.

McDonald graduated from Georgia in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
