John Srofe joined App State in 2022 as an Assistant Director of Player Personnel. 
 
Most recently, Srofe spent five years at Richmond, where he served as the Director of Football Operations and Recruiting Coordinator from 2019 through March 2022. Before that, he worked as a quality control coach for the defense and an athletics video coordinator. 
 
Srofe has been a member of four different coaching staffs at the NCAA level. He got his start in 2015 as the video coordinator and offensive quality control assistant at Wofford before moving to a similar position at Chattanooga. 
 
Srofe is a 2015 graduate of Northern Kentucky, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2023, he earned his Master’s Degree in Sport Management from Florida.
