Garrett Williams joined the App State staff in 2023 as an assistant director of athletic performance 
 
Williams worked previously as a graduate assistant at USF, where he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach. After he earned his master’s degree in 2022, he was promoted to full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach.
 
As an undergraduate, Williams played tight end from 2015-18 at Clemson, where he was a part of two national championship teams. Williams saw action in 44 games over his career. 
 
A native of Orlando, Fla., Williams graduated from Clemson in 2018, receiving a degree in economics. He earned his master’s degree in business administration in 2022 from USF.
